The O’Connor High School “Eagle Pride” Marching Band won its first Sweeptstakes Award at the California Palm Springs Marching Invitational in 2004. Since then, the marching band has earned numerous accolades and has performed multiple times in the Disneyland Christmas Parade and at many grand openings for stores such as Barnes & Noble, Walmart and Safeway. In July of 2010, the Eagle Pride Marching Band had the distinguished honor of being the first band from Arizona to travel to Calgary, Canada to compete in the famous Calgary Stampede Parade and Show Bands Live. The band director, Melanie Britton, won the title of Ms. Arizona United States and was named “America’s Outstanding Mom” in 2010.

The Riverside Kingsmen participated in the 2007 Fiesta Bowl Band Championship and the Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade where they took home first place for their performance in the Parade. The band marched in the 2010 London New Year’s Day Parade, which was featured in the Gary Marshall film, Valentine’s Day. The Riverside Kingsmen are very proud to represent California. The Parade marching performance was written specifically for the 2011 Fiesta Bowl Parade.
Mountain View High School Band - Mesa, Arizona

This year’s Toro Marching Band is 191 members strong, the largest in the school’s 35-year history. Members of the Toro Marching Band are expected to follow the “six ideals” of the band program, which include respect, honor, intensity, spirit, teamwork, and service. The band participated in the 32nd Annual Fiesta Bowl Band Championship, finishing third, and in the 2007 Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade, where it finished second. The band was also invited to march at the Pearl Harbor 70th Anniversary Parade in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Kingman High School is making its first appearance in the Fiesta Bowl Band Championship. In 2010, the band came in 3rd place at the 2010 Arizona State Marching Championship and earned a superior with distinction rating at the 2010 Arizona State Marching Festival for captions in general effect, percussion, auxiliary, visual effect and musical performance. Its performance, “Pirates,” depicts the grand adventures of a band of adventurous pirates in their quest for riches on the high seas.

The Marching Huskies are one of the most decorated bands on the field. The band earned a Superior with Distinction at the State marching festival of Arizona both in 2008 and 2010, and won the ABODA State Marching Band Championship in its inaugural year in 2010. Its performance has three different segments, as the band will create a visually stunning and new display with each. Next summer, the Huskies will be traveling to Dublin, Ireland to participate in the Global Football Tournament with their
high school football team.
Chino High School Band - Chino, California

The Chino High School 77th Cavalry, known for their innovative, action-packed drills with fast-paced inspirational and heroic music, makes their third appearance in the Fiesta Bowl Band Championship, winning the the Grand Master Trophy in both their previous trips in 2003 and 2007. Chino High School is the six-time defending Southern California Section Band and Orchestra Association 6A Division Field Champions. The band participated in the 2002 Tournament of Roses Parade, and is a four-time winner of the prestigious “Tournament of Champions.”
