Fiesta Bowl Youth Football Clinic
As one of the Valley’s most exhilarating experiences in youth football, the West Valley Fiesta Bowl Youth Football Clinic and East Valley Gila River Fiesta Bowl Youth Football Clinic, both presented by NCAA football, promote more than just the fundamentals of the game. We invite you to participate in this free, non-contact clinic led by trained athletes and experienced coaches. Young competitors will walk away with the perseverance, discipline and determination necessary to achieve their maximum potential both on and off the field. This is an electrifying experience of fun-filled memories that young football fanatics will not want to miss.
Q: When is the clinic?
A: The West Valley Clinic will be on Saturday, December 17, 2011 and the East Valley Clinic will be on Sunday, December 18, 2011.
Q: Where does it take place?
A: The West Valley Clinic will be at Glendale Youth Sports Complex (6222 N. 91st Ave., Glendale, AZ 85305). The East Valley Clinic location will be at Benedict Sports Complex (490 W. Guadalupe Rd., Tempe, AZ 85283).
Q: How long is the clinic?
A: Both clinics are from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Q: How old do you have to be to participate?
A: Boys and Girls ages 9 to 14
Q: What is the cost to participate?
A: The youth clinic is Free
Q: Is there contact involved?
A: This is a non-contact clinic
Q: How do I register?
A: Registration is first-come first-served and the registration form will be located on the Youth Clinic website. First 300 participants accepted.
Q: Will my 9-year-old be placed with older children?
A: The practice schedule is designed to place your child with other children roughly of the same age, skill and size.
Q: Can parents stay and watch?
A: Parents and family are more than welcome to stay and participate in a Q&A session.
Q: What happens if my child is not one of the first 300 to register?
A: Unfortunately, we are only able to accommodate 300 participants, so please register as soon as possible. You will receive a notice in the mail or through email if you are one of the 300 participants.
Q: What if my child is an average athlete or has never played football?
A: The focus of the clinic is self-esteem. Based on positive reinforcement for individual effort, coaches place importance on the capability of each child and will work with participants so they can improve within their own level of ability.
