Trophy

Created especially for the Insight Bowl, sculptor Nicholas L. Burke utilized the Insight logo as a springboard for the creation of a three-dimensional bronze trophy.

The curvilinear forms of the football swoop by and are caught in the gravitational pull of the annual Insight Bowl game. Two parallel bands embrace the form and rise up as a symbol of the two teams vying for victory.

Nicholas Lowell Burkehas produced fine art bronzes since his sculpture apprenticeship in Florence, Italy in 1980. Burke's sculpture includes figurative and abstract works in large and small scale, portrait bust commissions, liturgical sculpture, and limited edition corporate gift and recognition awards.

In 2009, Burke was nominated by the Tucson Pima Arts Council for a Lifetime Achievement award for his contributions to the community through his art.
