2011-12 Fiesta Bowl Court Announced
Scottsdale, Ariz. – Four collegiate women have been selected for the 41st Annual Fiesta Bowl Queen and Court Presented by Dillard’s. Kylie DeMartini from Arizona State University, Alyssa Martinez from the University of Arizona, Shannon Maule from the University of Arizona and Amy Villarreal from Arizona State University will vie for the esteemed title of 2011-12 Fiesta Bowl Queen.
These four women drawn from a pool of applicants have excelled in the classroom as well as in the community, and exhibit qualities that reflect those of the Fiesta Bowl.
As part of the Fiesta Bowl Court, the women will be the spokespersons for many of the Fiesta Bowl’s Festival of College Football events and will make appearances at the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl and Fiesta Bowl games.

2011-12 Fiesta Bowl Court Bio’s
Kylie DeMartini, 21, is a senior at Arizona State University majoring in business marketing with a minor in Spanish. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, American Marketing Association and ASU Global Devils and Buddy Program. She is in the midst of training for a half Iron Man triathlon and is an annual participant in Pat’s Run. DeMartini currently resides in Tempe but is originally from Langley, Wash. and attended South Whidbey High School.
Alyssa Martinez, 21, is a senior at the University of Arizona majoring in business management. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Psi Business Fraternity, National Collegiate Leadership Conference and is a Special Events Coordinator with the Professional Women in Business Association. She has interned with Boys and Girls Club of Tucson and the Primavera Foundation, and is currently interning with Ben’s Bells. Martinez resides in Tucson but is originally from Phoenix and attended Desert Vista High School.
Shannon Maule, 21, is a senior at the University of Arizona majoring in journalism with a minor in Spanish. She is a member of Chi Omega Fraternity and currently serves as Vice President of Risk Management on the University of Arizona Executive Panhellenic Council. She mentored this summer at the University of Arizona Journalism Diversity Workshop for Arizona high school students and has participated in the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon for the past three years. Maule currently resides in Tucson but is originally from Scottsdale and attended Chaparral High School.
Amy Villarreal, 21, is a junior at Arizona State University majoring in journalism. She is a member of Barrett Honors College, Public Relations Student Society of America, Society of Professional Journalists and the Be Spark Leadership and Welcome Team. She was a competitive swimmer, participating in USA Swimming, and is currently training for the P.F. Chang’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Half Marathon. Villarreal currently resides in Tempe but is originally from Dallas, Texas and attended Jack E. Singley Academy in Irving, Texas.
