Fiesta Bowl Adds Chief Financial Officer
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Fiesta Bowl today announced that Curt Krizan, CPA, has been hired to fill the bowl’s newly created position of Chief Financial Officer.
Krizan held the same position from 2007-2011 at Education Minnesota, a St. Paul-based union representing Minnesota’s 70,000 educators.
Krizan began his career as an auditor in the Minneapolis office of KPMG, where he earned his CPA certification.
Krizan also worked as Market Controller for CBS Radio in Minneapolis, serving as the top financial manager for four radio stations. He handled financial assignments related to the Minnesota Twins, the Minnesota Wild and the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers.
The Fiesta Bowl, a member of college football’s Bowl Championship Series, created the position of Chief Financial Officer as part of a restructuring. Krizan will oversee business and finance, tickets, human resources and information technology.
A product of the Twin Cities, the 41-year-old Krizan graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
“We are delighted to have Curt join our staff,” Fiesta Bowl Executive Director Robert Shelton said. “His strong financial background and experience in the business of sports make him a valuable addition to our management team.”
