Scottsdale, Ariz. - The Lakeside Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets were named the Fiesta Bowl Arizona High School Team of the Week after narrowly escaping their rival Show Low High School 10-9 to move to 9-0 on the season.

Starting linebacker/running back Chans Cox blocked Show Low's extra-point try to preserve the one-point victory. Show Low had ended the Yellow Jackets' 25-game winning streak last year in the 3A finals.

Lakeside Blue Ridge beat out Glendale Ironwood High School for Team of the Week honors. Glendale Ironwood upset Glendale Deer Valley 69-68 to hand Deer Valley its first loss of the season.

Others receiving votes included Scottsdale Desert Mountain, Tucson, Flagstaff, Tempe Corona del Sol, Tucson Flowing Wells and Morenci.

The Fiesta Bowl Arizona High School Team of the Week is an effort to promote high school football by recognizing deserving teams statewide. Each week, the winning team will be featured on FOX Sports Arizona's AIA High School Game of the Week telecast and on its website - www.FOXSportsArizona.com.

The Fiesta Bowl Arizona High School Team of the Week is selected by a panel of seven media members and a longtime high school coach.
