the fiesta bowl trophy

The Fiesta Bowl Trophy was designed by Molina Fine Jewelers in 2002 for its unveiling at the 2003 Fiesta Bowl National Championship Game, and has since become a primary addition to many community events.

The Fiesta Bowl trophies construction and significance is quite remarkable: The inlaid compass on the base floor signifies the path in life we choose to lead. The players at the base of the trophy depict those that support the team, while the players at the top depict those that guard the ball. The curtain above the players is inscribed with the ancient Greek word NIKE, the goddess of Victory. The lotus flower-designed dome identifies the purity of strength, power and heart of the victors. The perfection of the diamonds on the football speaks of the remarkable dedication of the winning team to its sport.

The Fiesta Bowl trophy stands 46 inches high and weighs approximately 200 pounds. The base and platform are carved of marble and the football players are made of sterling silver. The center column is lapis with 18kt yellow, green, pink and white gold hand-carved relief of an Arizona sunset. The football that sits atop the trophy is 18kt gold with an enameled Fiesta Bowl logo and 38.6 karats of diamonds encrust the football stripes.

The Fiesta Bowl is thankful to Molina Fine Jewelers for their generous donation of this masterpiece trophy.
