Scottsdale, Ariz. – Mark your calendars and get ready to end the year on a high note at the 40th Annual Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade presented by Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation on Dec. 31 at 11:00 a.m. in central Phoenix.

The Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade has a special guest this year for Grand Marshal; Arizona’s own Kurt and Brenda Warner and family.  Valley residents and visitors alike will see the legendary former Arizona Cardinals quarterback and recent ‘Dancing With The Stars’ contestant as he and his family lead the parade down Central Avenue.

The Honorary Grand Marshal this year is the Boy’s and Girls Club National Youth of the Year, Mona Dixon.  Dixon represents more than 4.2 million young people enrolled in Boys & Girls Clubs nationally. Dixon is a freshman at Arizona State University, majoring in International Business.

Entertaining music from bands such as the Play it Again band and the Corona del Sol street band can be enjoyed while viewers marvel at wonderful floats and balloons that range from the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation “Traditional Doll” to the Tostitos “Bag of Chips”.  Interesting units such as Arizona High Bike Riders, Sun City Poms and the Arizona Ghostbusters, along with guests from the 2010 College Football Hall of Fame class are among the many entries helping celebrate the annual parade theme: “Spirit of the Southwest”.

A new addition to the parade will be the “Arizona 5 C’s”.  Five floats built by the Phoenix Union High School District and other organizations around the Valley will represent the five “C’s” of Arizona: Copper, Climate, Citrus, Cattle and Cotton.  These floats are built to promote several different well-known industries in the state of Arizona.

iPhone users can access Parade information by downloading the Parade application; available now in the iTunes store.  The 40thAnnual Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade will be broadcast live and commercial free on ABC 15 and will be streamed live online on www.abc15.com.
