Tempe, Ariz. – The Fiesta Bowl Block Party Presented by Safeway attracted nearly 50,000 people as Mill Avenue rocked the night away and brought 2012 in with a bang!

The three headliners ⎯ Sawyer Brown, Gin Blossoms and Gabriel and Dresden – each put on a rousing show in front of full audiences, with each band playing its signature songs.

The Streetside Photo Shoot, with oversized helmets and a chance to take picture with the Heisman Trophy, attracted large crowds all night as college football fans from all over waited in line to take their picture with the iconic trophy.

Thirty local bands, BMX riders, magicians and street performers added to the sensational night.

Tempe Times Square, new to the Fiesta Bowl Block Party this year, created a buzz with a packed dance area throughout the entire night. With three video boards counting down the last 30 seconds of until the New Year, a fireworks show, confetti raining down and the return of the famous “Chip Drop,” Tempe Times Square was the place to ring in 2012.

Happy New Year!
