Scottsdale, Ariz. — The 29th Annual Wells Fargo Fiesta Bowl Million Dollar Hole-in-One contest tees off Thursday, October 31 at the Arizona Biltmore Golf Club. Valley golfers of every skill level will tee off for a shot at $1 million and to support a worthy cause at this 11-day event.
The event runs through Sunday, November 10 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. daily and 9 a.m.-noon on the final day, Sunday, November 10.
The Wells Fargo Fiesta Bowl Million Dollar Hole-in-One is more than a good time — the event provides multiple opportunities to help the community. A portion of the proceeds from every shot — the shanks and the aces — go to Fiesta Bowl Charities, which benefits charities across Arizona.
“Bringing community members together through sport and charity is what the Fiesta Bowl is known for,” said Brian Hall, Fiesta Bowl Chairman of the Board. “Now in its 29th year, the event was the first of its kind in the Valley and continues to be one of the nation’s top amateur hole-in-one events.”
Golfers can purchase a Dixon Golf ball for only $1 or a bag of 11 golf balls for $10 and aim for a hole-in-one. Each day, the 30 shots closest to the pin will receive fabulous prizes, such as PING irons, golf bags and certificates to some of the Valley’s best golf courses and finest restaurants.
The top three finishers each day, including anyone who makes a hole-in-one, will advance to the finals on Sunday, November 10 to try for a hole-in-one on the $1 million hole or two $50,000 holes. If none of the finalists sink a hole-in-one, the top finishers are still eligible to win a grand prize, including a 10-day cruise with Holland America, a one-year membership at the Wigwam Golf Club or Arizona Biltmore Golf Club and a full set of PING clubs with a fitted bag, a resort vacation for two with Sears Vacations or four roundtrip airfare tickets on US Airways.
