Fiesta Bowl Board Adds Four Members

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – The Fiesta Bowl Board of Directors has elected four new members. They join the volunteer board that guides the nonprofit Fiesta Bowl organization, comprised of four foundations.
“We welcome this strong slate of new board members to the Fiesta Bowl organization,” Board Chairman Brian Hall said. “Their diverse talents will help the Fiesta Bowl at a critical time in our history, as we enter a new era in postseason college football. Each new board member is committed to maintaining the highest level of public trust in the Fiesta Bowl.”
Ray Artigue: President, The Artigue Agency
Ray Artigue is the president of The Artigue Agency, a full-service marketing communications agency that he founded in 2010. Prior to starting the firm, Artigue served for four years as Executive Director of the MBA Sports Business Program at Arizona State University, and he was the Sr. Vice President of Marketing Communications for the Phoenix Suns for 15 years. Artigue serves on a variety of local boards, and he has a bachelor’s degree from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University.
Gonzalo de la Melena Jr.: President/Executive Director, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
Gonzalo de la Melena Jr. serves the community as President and CEO of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (AZHCC), the state’s leading advocate representing more than 60,000 Hispanic business enterprises. He is also President of the AZHCC Foundation. De la Melena received his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and earned his undergraduate degree in business from Arizona State University.
James R. Hatfield: Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Pinnacle West
James Hatfieldis Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Pinnacle West Capital Corporation and its primary subsidiary, Arizona Public Service Company (APS). He is a former football official in the Big 12 and Western Athletic Conferences. Hatfield earned a bachelor’s degree from Central Missouri State University and an MBA from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
Bob Whitehouse: Vice Commander, U.S. Air Force Reserve, Luke Air Force Base
Colonel Robert D. Whitehouse is the Vice Commander, 944th Fighter Wing, United States Air Force Reserve, Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. Whitehouse has been involved with the Fiesta Bowl since 2008, where he has held a variety of roles, including Committee member, Parade Marshall, VIP Hospitality, Committee Sales Commissioner and Grievance Committee member. Whitehouse received his Bachelor of Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy and Master of Aeronautical Sciences from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
