Fiesta Bowl Seeks Four Collegiate Women for Scholarship Program

Scottsdale, Ariz. – The Fiesta Bowl is searching for four collegiate women to receive a unique scholarship opportunity to become members of the 40th Annual Fiesta Bowl Queen & Court presented by Dillard’s.  Those interested in applying can access the applications on All entries are due by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 16.

The Fiesta Bowl Queen & Court serve as ambassadors and spokespersons for the Festival of College Football events, and will represent the Board of Directors, committee members, staff and sponsors.  Court members annually attend celebrated community events such as the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, Fort McDowell Fiesta Bowl Parade presented by Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, Fiesta Bowl National Band Championship, Fiesta Bowl Invitational presented by Ellie and Michael Ziegler, and various other events.

The scholarship program is open to all females who have completed at least one semester of college and are not scheduled to graduate prior to May 2011.  

Each contestant must be enrolled, currently and during the 2010 calendar year, as a full-time student taking a minimum of 12 academic hours at one Arizona college or university, be in good standing at that institution and not on scholastic probation.  Official transcripts must be provided to complete the application process.  

Judging is based on scholastic achievement, poise, community involvement, personality and submitted essay.
